I really love how this comes over. You can see the ‘…OH!’ realization, like she never realized Nebula wanted anything from her. And then understanding dawns at exactly what Nebula’s life has been like with the overlay of knowing that she wanted a sister in Gamora all along and was only ever punished for that. I doubt it was intentionally callous on Gamora’s part, but Nebula is still coming at this thing from a child’s perspective – that her sister failed to protect her, so it’s her fault that the bad things happened. I like to think that they sorted this out somewhat over the years (probably with a lot of yelling and fighting), because at least now Nebula is putting the blame squarely where it belongs: with Thanos.
