i spent christmas alone while my family got together and fought, and honestly i feel so good about this

i bought myself presents, cooked a big meal, drank wine and watched Home Alone 3 w/ my dog. I don’t feel sorry for myself at all.

meanwhile my sister threatened to disown my dad so he threatened to disown her, while my mom enabled and my other sister downed a bottle of wine to deal.

on the other side of the country, i was busy discovering, to my delight, that the that the 3rd installment of the Home Alone franchise not only stood up to the test of time, but contains some of the best oneliners and comedic timing I have ever seen.

honestly, keep toxic people out of your life. family isn’t everything, and bad family is often worse than no family. don’t be afraid to put in some distance, especially during high stress times like the holidays. you don’t actually owe them anything.

being alone for the holidays is so much better than being with people who make you unhappy.

Bringing this back for this holiday season!

Oh btw Yzma is a golden example of a likeable non sympathetic villain. The audience knows she is totally evil and pretty much un redeemable but the writers and character designers did such an excellent job of making her so likeable and visually appealing A fucking plus

Kronks redemption arc has yet to be rivaled nothing can ever fucking compare.

OP did u just fucking call Yzma “visually appealing”?????

In terms of character design Yzma is visually appealing, the artists did a great job picking out colours and perfecting her silhouette. Using those design principles, they created an expressive villain that is fun to watch on screen.

op is absolutely right in that observation, good character design is about good use of shapes, curves and angles. Yzma is a fantastic example of that.

A d we can’t sideline Eartha Kitt for literally breathing life into her character to the point of perfection. Yzma was really was an exemplary villain.

Let me guess. Your home? It was. And it was beautiful.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Another reason thanos is stupid he could just go back in time to save titan.

Just imagine this dumbass going to the HR department on Titan and suggesting his plan to kill half of the population to solve a food problem.

Thanos was the 1%

comics!Thanos’ motivation was he was in love with Death

it made so much more sense than this

Exactly @tygermama. Especially since the Russos have said the snap eliminated half the plants and animals. Soooo everything is still the same?

lmaooo….so he deleted half the food supply too….Kevin Feige confirmed it.

Thanks Thanos, you did nothing.

They literally had Hela the GODDESS OF DEATH in the movie immediately prior to IW and she didn’t even die-on screen she could have survived the explosion of Asgard bc LITERAL GODDESS, MORE POWERFUL THAN THOR, like

They didn’t miss the opportunity to make Thanos a devotee/lover of Hela they STUBBED THEIR TOE ON IT IN THE DARK ON THE WAY TO THE BATHROOM, GOT MAD, AND KICKED IT DOWN THE STAIRS

Hela: Did you do it?

Hela: What did it cost

Better movie.

Holy shit that is a much better movie

Just a wild theory, but it seems to me the reason they changed Thanos’ motivation is the ongoing smear campaign against the green movement. This stupid plot was clearly inspired by eminent biologist E.O. Wilson’s book Half-Earth, published in 2016, which suggests leaving half of the planet’s surface to wildlife through a radical reorganization of our urban areas and a better use of agricultural technology.

So I don’t want to sound like a conspiracy weirdo or anything, but Infinity War was not the first Hollywood production to paint ‘ecowarriors’ as dangerous nutters who think genocide is a good idea. This movie was a disastrous mess with a very clear agenda, and we should be wary of that.
