I have just been scrolling through my blog and submitting like a ton of my pony pics for review as they were “tagged sensitive” and yes, as much as it’s a pain to do this and I know that it’s silly that pictures of toy ponies are deemed explicit by poor filters but WHATEVER we can do to protect children we should do!! So yes I get that people are mad at no more explicit content and they don’t always mean to link it to abuse but if it saves one more child from searching their fav cartoon character and finding NSFW images or if it saves one more child from being a victim of cp then it’s worth it so we gotta stop complaining

The problem is Tumblr already had things in place to stop kids from using the site. The site had always been 18+ in my all my years here. Those under 13 could not make an account (unless they lied about their age of course), There was also safe mode, tag filters and the block button. Plus it seems as though Nazi and hate blogs still exist in mass, so If it was to protect the young I would have thought they’d have been deleted too.

Yeah, deleting the hate blogs would have come first for me.
